What is Home Hands In-Home Care?
We are a non-medical in-home care provider serving seniors across Greater Rochester. Our focus is on premium, compassionate care that helps older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable in the home they love.

Are you a franchise?
No. We are a locally owned and independently operated agency.

Are you licensed?
A license is not required for non-medical companion care in New York State. We provide non-medical services only.

Are your caregivers insured?
Yes. Our caregivers are bonded and insured. We also carry general liability and workers compensation insurance.

What services do you provide?
We offer a wide range of non-medical companion care services, including:

What are your minimum service requirements?
We require a minimum of 4 hours per visit and 12 hours per week.

Do you provide medical care?
No. We do not offer hands-on medical services or home health aide care.

CLIENTS

Do you only serve seniors?
Our primary focus is on seniors, but we are absolutely willing to assist adults of all ages.

Do you serve clients in assisted living or senior communities?
Yes. We provide supplemental care in facilities if and when needed.

Can you help someone with dementia or Alzheimer's?
Absolutely. We provide patient, supportive companionship and cueing for daily routines.

GETTING STARTED

How do I start services?
Contact us to schedule a free, no-obligation in-home consultation. We’ll create a custom care plan tailored to your needs.

Is there a contract?
We have a simple service agreement with no long-term commitments. You may cancel with 72 hours’ notice.

How quickly can care begin?
In many cases, we can begin within 48–72 hours of the initial consultation.

CAREGIVERS

How do you hire caregivers?
We carefully screen and select compassionate, trustworthy individuals. All pass background checks and participate in training.

Will I have the same caregiver?
We aim to provide consistency, though some rotation may be needed depending on schedule.

What if I want a different caregiver?
Just let us know — we’ll make a change promptly.

BILLING & PAYMENT

How much does it cost?
Our rates start at $40/hour. Final rates depend on care needs and schedule.

Do you accept insurance?
We accept some long-term care insurance policies. Medical insurance does not apply to non-medical care.

How do I pay?
We invoice bi-weekly. Payment is accepted via autopay from a checking account.

Can you coordinate care with family or medical providers?
Yes. We’re happy to collaborate with other care professionals involved in your loved one’s wellbeing.

Do you provide respite care?
Yes. We support family caregivers who need breaks or travel support.
